The Targaryen dynasty is at the absolute apex of its power, with more than 15 dragons under their yoke. Most empires crumble from such heights. In the case of the Targaryens, their slow fall begins when King Viserys breaks with a century of tradition by naming his daughter Rhaenyra heir to the Iron Throne. House of the Dragon
They sure are milking about 150 pages of a book, aren’t they? The season had moments of greatness, but mostly felt like a lot of filler. We ended season one on the brink of war and we end season two on the brink of war. Things happened, but most of it was posturing. I guess we wait for season three.
