Overview

Once in a lifetime you get a chance to do something different.

As America's stock of athletic young men is depleted during World War II, a professional all-female baseball league springs up in the Midwest, funded by publicity-hungry candy maker Walter Harvey. Competitive sisters Dottie Hinson and Kit Keller spar with each other, scout Ernie Capadino and grumpy has-been coach Jimmy Dugan on their way to fame.

A League of Their Own

This is a classic. But it also has kind of a strange storyline. The sisters don’t exactly have their own resolution other than they learn to tolerate each other and then leave each other. It kind of leaves the question open if Dottie intentionally dropped the ball (to finally give Kit a win) or if she really got beat. Both honestly don’t make much sense in the storyline. But, hey, it’s still a great film.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
