Come from Away
We are here in this moment — together. The first time I saw this show I had no idea what I was walking into; “a musical about 9/11… ok?” But I walked away from it changed. The power of hope and hospitality prevailed through darkness and despair. The stories of the locals and the Plane People mirror our own journeys from that day and the emotions that came with it — fear, hopelessness, desperation, the desire to do something. At the end of the day, we are here in the moment and can find connection with each other — we have our differences, we have our disagreements, but we can unite over our humanity. That’s the message of Come From Away and one we all should heed.
