Overview
A century before the events of Game of Thrones, two unlikely heroes wandered Westeros: a young, naive but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his diminutive squire, Egg. Set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne and the last dragon has not yet passed from living memory, great destinies, powerful foes, and dangerous exploits await these improbable and incomparable friends.
Review
This was damn near a five star masterpiece. The show was funny, heartfelt, and had incredible depth. The Dunk and Egg stories are a fun departure from the norm in Game of Thrones and the show really capture that feel. The only thing preventing it from hitting that five star mark is longevity— while I’m sure I’ll watch this season again before the next, I don’t know if it’ll rise to my “greatest of all time” standards. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
