#### Serenity

This isn’t a great movie, but it’s not a bad one either. It takes the characters we all love and gives them new life on a bit of a moral crusade, while also expanding the ‘verse a bit. What it does poorly is handle those characters we love. Wash and Book get the short end of the stick and everyone else just kind of plays second fiddle to River’s awakening. Which, fair, the entire short-lived series was really building to that point, but Joss really could have left the door open a bit more than he did. Oh well.
