## Who are you?

Perry Atwal – Lecturer with the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada

## What do you write?

I write with the aim to help others by [sharing wisdom](https://perryatwal.com/?ref=justincox.com) and ideas that I have seen work in multiple areas of life. The desire to want to make a difference drove me to start writing. I absolutely love what I do because it makes me feel as if I am fulfilling a purpose and doing far beyond what I have done in the past. I believe it is important to discuss all themes in a respectful and empathetic manner.

## Where do you write?

Like writing in my home office and work office, preferably just after going on a long walk. My offices have everything that I need – multiple screens, snacks and solitude. Write directly into MS Word as so used to using extensively for work.

## When do you write?

Like to write early in the day, typically between hours of 4-8am, and either before or after a long walk. Normally don’t do more than 2 hours at a time – set my own deadlines as to when feel tired.

## How do you overcome writer's block?

Take long breaks and walks to take mind away and let it wander.

## Bonus: What do you enjoy doing when not writing?

Soccer! Watching and Coaching
