Jessica Day is an offbeat and adorable girl in her late 20s who, after a bad breakup, moves in with three single guys. Goofy, positive, vulnerable and honest to a fault, Jess has faith in people, even when she shouldn't. Although she's dorky and awkward, she's comfortable in her own skin. More prone to friendships with women, she's not used to hanging with the boys—especially at home.

#### New Girl

Who’s that girl? Well, it’s Jess. But it’s also a whole host of other characters. Schmidt might be the single greatest sitcom character of all time. It’s a pretty great show that really starts to lose itself when they changed the opening credits. A lot of the whimsy died when they started using headshots, and then it basically died completely when they devolved to text on a black screen. They also ramped up the manic pixie dream girl dial to high the same time. Was it too much? Not really, but it wasn’t balanced with all the other stuff going on. Anyway, good show.
