I’ve been thinking a lot about **community* lately. Building a community is largely what I try to do with this newsletter — that’s why I always encourage you to respond. I’m a big fan of building spaces where writers can gather support and encouragement.

Though, I think the idea and definition of a community have changed lately. While there is always a need to come together and work with others, how that plays out is very different from what it was a few years ago.

My goal with The Writing Cooperative is to build a space where writers feel supported and empowered to create amazing things. Whether you’re a novelist, essayist, journalist, hobbyist, or some other ‘ist, I want to provide you with a place to belong and connect with others.

The platform only succeeds if it’s the community **you* are looking for. So, ****how do you define community**? What does a space for writers look like? Chime in, and let’s build something amazing together.
