It seems a strangely feeble attempt to "update" the "look" ( I guess?) of facebook, without adding any real appeal or usability. Its not often something so successful actually steps backward, while acting quite proud of itself...course...there is always Vista to compare it to... Redesigns are usually an attempt to:
a) add functionality
b) add visual appeal
c) address bugs/issues

The new facebook does NONE of the above. It seems a strangely feeble attempt to “update” the “look” ( I guess?) of facebook, without adding any real appeal or usability.

Its not often something so successful actually steps backward, while acting quite proud of itself…course…there is always Vista to compare it to…

The new Facebook is horrible. I can't seem to find anything without looking through all the bad designing. The new Wall is my most hated part. It's way to overcrowded and inconsistent. I'm really glad they have an option to switch back to the old version, and I hope that they respond to feedback because I don't know a single person that enjoys this new crappy experience. I agree that it's cluttered and confusing. I actually like the extra whitespace, but that's about the only thing I like.
