Macworld Expo Prelude
With Apple’s annual Macworld conference getting ready to start, and Steve Job’s annual Keynote presentation Tuesday at 12:00 pm EST, rumors and speculation are starting to run wild. The Keynote is the place for hot new Apple products. Last year Jobs used the Keynote to debut the iPhone, in prior years he used it to debut iPods, new iMacs, and even the transition to Intel. What’s on tap for this year? Well, it’s anyone’s guess but Gruber has a nice analysis of the pre-”Jobsnote” hype-machine over on his site.
In a mild/medium/hot scale, where mild is a lame keynote that’s mostly a “state of the Apple Union” address and hot is a major new product along the lines of the iPhone, my gut feeling is that we’re looking at a medium — spicy enough to be enjoyable, but not one for the ages.
