LOST – The Economist

What you are about to read is an rambling of instant thoughts related to tonight’s episode of LOST. There are heavy spoilers and, more than likely, no coherent thoughts contained below. You have been warned.

C9337848-3A99-4CC2-ABCF-FCFAF02980EE.jpgOk, so it’s interesting that the off-island flash-forwards have become the most interesting part of the show. Clearly Ben is off the island, trying to bring down whatever organization sent the freighter and using Sayid as his assassin. There is no way he is one of the Oceanic 6, so how did he get off the island? Do Kate, Hurley, Jack, insert other two members of “the 6″ know about Ben? What happened between where we are on the island and when they get rescued that causes Hurley to hate choosing Lock and Sayid to start working for Ben?

The only funky thing that occurred on-island is the return to the “funky time” issue with that rocket experiment. It landed around 30 minutes after it should have? Whoever the people that came over on the freighter are, they know enough about the island to be interested in it on a scientific level so something tells me before the close of this season we’ll know way more about that island then we have over the last 3 years.

Lost has been killer two weeks in a row. I wonder how long it’ll keep it up.

    Justin,

With all the passports that Ben had, he may have assumed the identity of a dentist. I remember Rose’s husband was a dentist.

    The six are

    1 Hurley
    2 Jack
    3 Kate
    4 Sayid
    5 Ben
    6

I love the 30 min time gap. Think back to Desmond being blown forward possibly in time. That may account to how he was naked and can see the near future….

Good thoughts but I’m pretty sure Ben isn’t one of “the 6.” The people he is having Sayid kill obviously want Ben dead, so if he was one of the 6 he’d be an easy target. Also, he wasn’t on the plane in the first place…
